Dr. Deciechi is a family practice veterinarian who also has extensive emergency/critical care experience. He earned his Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering in the U.S. Naval Academy and served nine years as a Naval Officer. During his naval education, Dr. Deciechi pursued scientific interests, including orbital science and physics. He spent time with Naval special warfare, after which he served as a college physics instructor during his final tour in the Navy. After leaving the Navy, he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. He immediately pursued veterinary practice ownership and purchased his first veterinary practice 12 months after completing veterinary school. Emergency surgical procedures and novel pharmaceutical developments were specific interests during practice ownership. After serving as the Medical Director for emergency veterinary practices for ten years, he decided to return to family practice. He is a member of the AVMA and MVMA and considers fly-fishing, soccer, and rugby among his favorite activities.

Cord joined the Fohey team in May 2018 as a Technician and Practice Manager. He has gained valuable experience working at several daytime veterinary practices in the area and out of state for the past 12 years. He has also worked in the Animal Neurology field. Before that, he worked with small animals in a retail setting. As we advance, he now manages both Fohey and Animal Medical Center of Lapeer and is eager to get to know all the new clients. Cord enjoys camping every chance he can get and would love new area suggestions. In the summers, if he isn’t camping, he is outside tending his plants and greenhouse. Cord also has four furry family members named Kahlua, Jager, Hennessey, and Stella.
